We get the basics right.

Our communications expertise provides vendor certification of most cabling product sets: SYSTIMAX, KRONE, PANDUIT, LEVITON & AMP. Nilsen Communications installs competitive, state of the art structured cabling systems that meet the most stringent technical requirements. Nilsen Communications technicians have the appropriate certified qualifications for Cabling Infrastructure, Design and Engineering and all facets of System Integration projects. Nilsen have vendor certification and accreditation to Design level on the following vendors product sets:

The Electrical and Communication installation required for Qantas Call Centre

This was a Systimax structured cabling solution. Nilsen was the main electrical contractor on the site as well.

  • Installation of Krone horizontal cabling to over 2500 outlets over 3 floors
  • Installation of Krone backbone cabling (Fibre optics and voice)
  • Reconfiguration of the light and power on each level and to incorporate a full lighting control system
  • Installation of a new main switchboard complete with Automatic Transfer Switch and generator supplies
  • Installation of three new UPS’s via a new main UPS board
  • Installation of a refurbished generator
  • Installation of the new Ewis and MATV systems.

The Qantas project was a co-ordination challenge due to all the renovation works happening at the same time as well as a very short time frame (14 weeks).

Nilsen played a major role in the design process of all of the frame and cabinet layouts and positions to help minimise lengths of the network links. Krone certification.
