Located on the old Cheltenham Racecourse site, the neighbourhood shopping centre gives residents of the new St Clair housing estate access to 15 speciality shops and a Coles Supermarket.
Nilsen Networks worked as the leading contractor on this project, helping to reduce the number of fittings in use while providing the facility with superior illumination meeting Australian standards.
St Clair village had previously used 28 numbers of 150W Metal Halide luminaires. During the project, 75W SMART48 with FW optics were installed on existing poles to achieve the required general illumination while improving vertical illuminance for cameras.
The results, as pictured below, speak for themselves, and the facility management was very pleased with the outcome. Following the success of this project, processes have now been put in place to review other facilities.
