This project involved the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, placing into service and maintenance of High Voltage Electrical Services for the site, with Nilsen’s scope commencing in August 2018 and handed over in April 2020.

A One Nilsen approach ensured the successful delivery of the project with Contracting and Engineering Services working together during the installation and commissioning phases. Nilsen scope included but was not limited to supply and installation of High voltage infrastructure as noted below:

  • Custom class G Pit and conduit containment as per the site wide scope
  • Supply and installation of 3x1cx400mm 11KV ring main for new site High voltage infrastructure
  • Supply, install and commission the below high voltage switch gear
  • HV Metering Cubicle 1 and 2 – HVSB-M01 and HVSB-M02
  • HV Precinct Main Switchboard – HVSB-25/1
  • 11 of HV Kiosks inclusive integral Ring Main Unit and Transformer
  • Supply & installation of in ground low voltage conduits from HV kiosk to building MSB’s
  • Supply & installation of in ground low voltage conduits to kiosk
  • Low voltage supplied to kiosk
  • Supply & install bare earthing conductor ring and earth stakes to site wide combined earthing system
  • Test in ground earthing conductor
  • Install perimeter conduits for CCTV LV
The High Voltage infrastructure scope was critical to the overall project success, Nilsen worked closely with all key stakeholders via transparent lines of communication and collaboration helping achieve Nilsen’s and the project deliverables. The performance was recognized, resulting in ongoing and new works with both Lend Lease and the end client being awarded.
